AMACR-BOFAP

Prostate Ca stained with Anti-AMACR

AMACR-BOFAP

AMACR/p504s is an important enzyme in fatty acid branched chain β oxidase. AMACR is highly expressed in prostate adenocarcinoma, but not in benign prostate tissue. The expression of AMACR can also detect prostate precancerous lesions, such as prostate intraepithelial tumor (PIN) and atypical adenoma hyperplasia. AMACR is used as a positive marker and stained with basal cells (34bE12/P63) as a negative marker, which is helpful to confirm the symptoms of PIN and small prostate cancer lesions.
